The 28th
Annual Conference
of the Bengal Economic
Association (Bangya Arthaniti Parishad) will be hosted
by St. Xavier’s College (Autonomous), 30, Mother Teresa
Sarani, (Park Street), Kolkata – 700 016 during
February 16-17, 2008. The inaugural function will be
at 10.00 am on February 16.
The conference would be
presided over by Prof. Prabuddha Nath Roy.
Prof. Raj Kumar Sen will deliver the Dr. S. N.
Sen Memorial Lecture and the 2nd
Prof. A. K. Dasgupta Memorial Lecture would be
delivered by Prof. D. M. Nachane.
The theme of the Technical Sessions are

Indian Economy

Labour Economics in
Post Reform Era

Micro Finance in West
Bengal
Papers (within 3000
words) with an abstract (within 200 words in duplicate
(both hard and soft copy) on any one of these above 3
themes are to be submitted to either the Secretary, BEA

sjdominic@gmail.com)
positively within 31.12.2007 for consideration
for publication in Artha Beekshan, the quarterly
referred journal of the BEA.
The
delegate fee is Rs. 250/- (for members) and Rs. 300/-
(for non-members). Delegates requiring accommodation
during 16-18 February are requested to contact LOS on
payment of additional charges.
