The library has a vast collection of 18,663 volumes of books & periodicals. It was originally started by Most Rev. Dr. Paul Goethals, SJ and was handed over to the Jesuits of St. Xavier's College in 1908.The GILRS has extremely rare and precious books. We have made the library now a research center more easily accessible to researchers and students who are most worthy of its inheritance. They are welcome to make use of the library. The library has 61 sections from voyages and travels to Flora and Fauna, lastly to Bibliographies and Dictionaries. The library is a treasure trove of knowledge and information as one can observe by viewing our Homepage.
